Hello! My name is Onkar Shelar, and I’m a PhD student in Computer and Information Science at Rochester Institute of Technology. My work focuses on evolutionary computation and its applications to artificial intelligence and emerging computing paradigms. My broader research interests include diversity-driven search and discovery, robotic and autonomous systems, and the principles of computation that underlie learning in intelligent systems. Outside of research, I enjoy traveling, cooking, and reading speculative fiction.
